2: LinkedIn’s New First Impressions Ads

Video is becoming increasingly popular on LinkedIn, and with this, the platform is rolling out an exciting new ad option. Get ready for “First Impression Ads”.

First Impression Ads are a daily takeover: a full-screen, vertical video guaranteed to be the very first ad a target member sees when they log in. This gives your brand immediate, upfront exposure. It’s a powerful way to ensure your promotion sets the tone for their day on the platform

3: Instagram Content Now Appears In Google Search

In a significant move to compete with platforms like TikTok, Instagram is rolling out an important update: your Instagram posts will now appear directly in Google Search results. Starting July 10th, this means a whole new level of visibility for your content; however, you have the option to turn this feature off in your settings if you prefer.

This update makes it more important than ever to think about what your audience is searching for. Keywords need to rule in your captions, so ensure they’re relevant and descriptive. Geotags are also becoming increasingly important for local visibility, and consistent posting remains vital for maximising your reach.

4: Meta To Turn All Facebook Videos Into Reels

As I’m sure you know on Instagram, every video you upload to the platform is in reel format. However, Facebook has still allowed you to upload your content as both a video and a reel; however, this is now changing within the coming months.

All Facebook videos will now be uploaded as reels and reels only. What does this mean for you? Facebook has shared that reels derive the highest level of engagement on the platform, so this transition in formatting will hopefulyy help achieve better results on the platform.

5: Where Should You Include Your Links In Your Social Posts?

Facebook has been sharing tips to users on ways they can optimise their content. With many people having recently received the same comment from Facebook, that posts with no URL in the caption are the way forward.

It’s clear why this is happening: Meta’s recent report reveals that nearly 97.3% of Facebook post views in the U.S. go to content without external links, keeping users engaged within the app. Therefore, managers should include their CTA link within the comment section of the post, as this is more beneficial to a post’s results.

AI is revolutionising search, transforming it into a conversational experience where AI Overviews and AI Mode deliver tailored answers to your questions.

This shift requires marketers to create helpful, context-aware content that extends beyond just keywords. AI is also reshaping advertising with integrated ads in AI Overviews and tools like AI Max for hyper-targeted campaigns.
